BASIC: On this blog you can listen chosen music of high quality from video games. These compositions, in my opinion, have enough innovation and creativity to fulfill the mission and show the point of this blog.
If you can't find something that should be on this blog, it does not automatically mean that it is not good enough for this blog, most likely i have not yet included it. I would really appreciate if you leave me a comment or e-mail me on blogeronji@gmail.com
Do not get confused if you cannot find a popular video game title. This blog does not serve to represent music from popular video games, but high quality compositions from video games. Although the popular titles have good music in most cases, it's not necessarily true.
Music will not be chosen in proportion to the game titles or composers. This is not a archive of all music from video games, and not intended to equally represent the titles of the games. Well, if one game has ten awesome compositions and other has one, so it will be in this site. The most important is the music and its composers. Game titles, publishers, release dates and platforms, these are just ways to find what you're looking for, or additional information about music.
Why would you wanna hear my opinion? It must be someones opinion. I realized that the explanation is more relevant than a thousand "likes". I could put the voting system which will give a little more objective results, but more I thought about it I realized that, in fact, it would be less relevant. Because the voters will not judge it by the same criteria as i do. A bunch of votes from unknown people with unknown knowledge about the topic, unknown causes and intentions, not to mention marketing purposes, or vote-bots. So I decided to take responsibility for my opinion and leave the judging to you, same thing composers do when they make the music. They don't ask me or you what they need to make, but they do the best they can for us.
Still, you can influence on the content of this site but you have to do so with arguments and not by clicking on the button.
Music which is originally made for movies or by "music industry" and then remade for video games (or originally played in VG) will not be considered as VGM, so it will not be included. Just music which is originally created for video games will be posted.(exceptions can be made for some examples)
Music which is recreation or cover of video game music will be included. This is one of important parts of my cause: To show how VGM can sound with real instruments (in some cases), and reveal beauty of some compositions which is hidden beneath the bleeps. Also to show how many fanatic fans VGM actually have.
This blog will not be made by VGM chronological order for if I were to do so I wouldn't be able to cover games from all eras equally. I will get there eventually :)
