About music today

I think that Nikola Tesla once said: scientists and artists have same job in which creativity and inventiveness are going through the prism of different knowledge's. (something like that)

New art must be new, as well as scientific inventions. You can't discover electric generator, as it is already discovered. And of course "If I have seen a little further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants." (Isaac Newton) This means that your predecessors are already a part of  your work. So... you hardly can be 100% new, but the more you are the better it gets . And what to say about composers who have  0% innovations in their music? Fans or thieves? I know what I can't say: composers.

People repeat same old crap, wrapped in different packaging, for thirty years calling that art. This is exactly what the music industry is doing right now, and at least since the mid-eighties. In my opinion, since then, new music could be found only in the movie industry. And today, most of all, in the video games industry.

This is a chart that describes the migrations of music quality

Succes rate= music quality in produced music--- Music industry and acknowledged music

In fact, this is migration of talented people inside industries.
For example, if some of today's VG composers were born in seventies, he would have wanted to be a "rocker". Let's have a hypothetical situation here. Lets asume that Jimmy Hendrix was trying to be musician novadays. Some idiot corporate bastard would have probably said to him "hey Jimmy, you don't have enough silicone in your body." So if he continues to seek further, in Hollywood for example, answer would be: "all three seats are filled with my grandchildren." And then he would have finished his journey in the only place where people create music today. Can you guess? Creating music for video games, ofc.
